‘Twas two weeks till Christmas, and all through the house
there were presents to wrap, cards to write, and cookies to bake…
You get the idea. Throw in a stressful week at work, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I’m doing my best to remain unflappable amidst all the hubbub. Thanks to my sister, who shared this on Facebook today, I have a new motto:

If you do feel like your loosing control of your tinsel, watch this video. It will restore you.
Thank you, Stacey, Tara, Dana, Betsy, Anna, and Beth for this space for teachers and others to share their stories each Tuesday. Be sure to visit Two Writing Teachers to read more Slice of Life posts.
Absolutely LOVE this!

I cried.I realize it is not a Christmas tune, but any Christmassy music gets me every time.

Beautiful. I’ve been feeling a little bah-humby myself. Don’t get your tinsel in a tangle just made me chuckle out loud though. 🙂

Love the video, gorgeous music! “… remain unflappable amidst all the hubbub…” I always reminded myself that my students were dealing with increased expectations in December too. It’s a good time to be gentle with ourselves and let go of a few things.

Oh thank you Katherine. That video brought tears to my eyes. Something about the joy and purity of music just gets me. It’s the same feeling I get when I watch our children perform in the crazy pageants. I just love that joyful place we go when music is made.
