I just read an article that starfish on the pacific coast are making a comeback after being decimated by some kind of disease. I love the idea of them waving hello and waving hello back and telling them how glad we are to see them.

So many wonders to see in nature. Love the “chubby hand.” I thought of “The Private Eye” that encourages children to sees the world through lens of analogies and metaphors, using the jeweler’s loupe to encourage close observation.

That is one cute starfish — no wonder you wanted to write about it! Have you seen Blue Planet II? We watched it recently. The sea cucumbers blew me away (https://www.azula.com/sea-cucumbers-eat-2527293706.html). There must be a poem waiting to be written about those guys.

Perfect! This world is full of so many interesting creatures! My sixth graders would tell me this one looks like he should be on Sponge Bob!
