A sinus infection has laid me low. Here are the highlights of the last five days:
Sick Day
Sinuses clogged,
Head throbbed.
Soup simmered,
Tea steeped.
Pillows propped,
Cat curled.
Books stacked,
left unread.
Dozed all day.
Will this bug ever go away?

Sounds like my house. It is that time of year. It is no fun to have the time to rest and still not be productive because we are too sick.

Glad you dozed all day. It’s a sign that you’re really sick that your books were left unread. Feel better soon!

So sorry you’ve been sick. I can certainly relate as I have missed more school this year than ever. Your couplets tell it all. Take it easy and get well soon.

Sleep is a good thing to do. Love the wonderful poem that your “clogged” head managed despite the hurt.
