Every teacher knows that the last weeks of school are the most hectic of the year. I haven’t been very successful carving out time for reading anything other than the newspaper and a few blogs lately, but I have been thinking about summer reading. So in lieu of writing about what I have been reading, here are stacks of what I plan to read over the next few months.

What’s in your summer reading stack? Happy reading!
Don’t forget to visit Jen at Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee at Unleashing Readers to find out what other people have been reading lately. Thanks, Jen and Kellee, for hosting!
I love seeing your book stacks! I’ll be looking forward to seeing your reviews on some of them. I have the Lit Teachers Playbook for the you get grades. You’ll have to post how the older grades (well, to me they are older grades) book is! Happy summer reading 🙂

I know I would like the Serravallo book, Catherine. I’ve read all the middle/YA books-all good! And the Fikry book is wonderful. Still need to read The Goldfinch-maybe this summer? Thanks for sharing such a great list!

Ooolala, I see a lot of familiar titles here. Strugging with The Goldfinch – I think it’s beautiful, it’s just really really long. I hope to read Storied Life of AJ Fikry next. 🙂 Have fun with your stack of books! Your selection is great.
