Mary Lee Hahn’s #haikuforhealing project has grown on me, and I find myself composing haiku in my head as I’m driving, doing the dishes, or folding laundry. Yesterday as I headed out for one last round of Christmas shopping, flocks of geese flew overhead, inspiring today’s haiku.

Like you, I have found myself composing haiku throughout the day this month. Now I just need to carry a notebook, or remember them long enough to get them written down somewhere. I love your image of geese stitching the clouds together.

A very happy holidays to you, too!! I was at a train station this morning, and let me tell you, there were a lot of people who were hurrying home, just like your geese!! 🙂

Heading home feels so right. My children are heading home. I’ll be heading home to my parents this week. Home. Nice sound to that word.

I love those geese stitching a sky quilt. I feel like we, too, are making something big and beautiful…with our little bits of haiku strung hither and yon like beads or tiny lights…
