I’m a literacy specialist at a K-8 school in Northwestern CT. My job is two-fold: I work with at-risk first grade readers, supporting them as they learn to read, and I work with classroom teachers, helping them improve and refind their literacy instruction.

I am awed that this lovely poem came from words gleaned from the song. You certainly met the challenge well! The repeating line works very well, and I like the repetition of “each evening.” All the animals living their lives reinforces the “Life goes on” line! Kudos!
